Stuart Air Show 2026 with Kids: A Family Guide to Witham Field
Jets, aerobatics, a night show with fireworks, and airplanes you can see up close: the Stuart Air Show is one of the big Florida air shows of the fall, and it's very doable with little kids if you plan ahead.
What is the Stuart Air Show?
The Stuart Air Show is a three-day air show at Witham Field, the airport in Stuart, on the Treasure Coast. Saturday and Sunday are full days of aerobatic performances, military flight demonstrations, aircraft on display, interactive exhibits and family activities. Friday is a twilight and night show that ends with fireworks and a drone show. Sunday is Veteran Appreciation Day.
Dates, times and location
- Friday, November 13, 2026: 4:00 PM–10:00 PM. Gates open at 4 PM, and the show starts around 5 PM. It's a twilight and night show with a fireworks and drone show finale.
- Saturday, November 14 and Sunday, November 15: 9:00 AM–5:00 PM. Gates open at 9 AM, and the opening ceremony is around 11:30 AM.
- Where: Witham Field, 1895 Flying Fortress Ln, Stuart, FL 34996. There are two drive-in gates off Monterey Road. Follow the directions from the Martin County Sheriff's Office on the way in.
Bonus for airplane-obsessed kids: on Saturday and Sunday, from 9 to 11 AM, there's modified access to the performers' aircraft, so arriving early may mean a closer look.
Cost and tickets
Advance general admission prices on the official ticket page:
- Adults (13+): $40
- Youth (4–12): $15
- Kids 3 and under: free with a ticketed adult
General parking is free and included. Gate prices are higher than advance prices, so buying ahead usually makes sense. On Sunday, November 15, active military, veterans and first responders, plus up to 3 immediate family members, get in free with a valid ID. Everyone still needs a ticket.
Upgrades include reserved seating, a $180 family table for 4, premium parking ($40 per car, Saturday and Sunday), and the Flightline Club, the only shaded area. Check the official site for current prices and availability, since upgrades can sell out.
Know before you go
- Clear bag policy. Bags must be clear and no larger than 12" x 6" x 12", or a one-gallon clear zip bag, or a small clutch. All bags are checked.
- Strollers and diaper bags are allowed. They're hand-searched at security.
- No outside food or water. The exception is a small cooler for medicine or a baby's or small child's needs, subject to security approval.
- It's cashless. Gates, food and drink booths take cards and mobile pay, and there are no ATMs on site.
- Also not allowed: pets (service dogs excepted), bikes, scooters, skateboards, balloons, pop-up tents, oversize umbrellas and drones.
- Rain or shine. The show goes on unless safety is at risk, though some performers may sit out bad weather.
- Re-entry is allowed with a hand stamp and your ticket stub.
Tips for going with toddlers and little kids
Pack ear protection. The official FAQ suggests hearing protection for small children. Kid-size earmuffs are worth packing for any air show.
Bring chairs and sun gear. General admission doesn't include seating, so the organizers recommend lawn chairs. Blankets are fine too. There's no shade outside the Flightline Club, so hats and sunscreen are a must.
Pick the right day for your crew. Friday night has fireworks and a drone show, but it runs until 10 PM. That's a great adventure for older kids, and maybe a lot for a toddler. Saturday and Sunday daytime shows fit a nap schedule better, and you can always step out and come back with a hand stamp.
Use the trams. General parking includes free trams from the lots to the gates. They don't run on a set schedule, so snap a photo of where you parked.
Plan your snacks. Since outside food isn't allowed (beyond what security approves for little ones), plan on buying food there and bring a card or phone to pay.
